Responsible for the production and assembly of welded and fabricated products. May be required to operate a spot weld machine.
Produce welded and fabricated parts as indicated by job folder.
Must have knowledge of mig, tig and/or stick welding, grinders and torches; must have a working knowledge of all equipment in his/her area of responsibility.
Education and/or Experience: Must have previous experience and must pass welder test.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and use measuring tapes, squares and other gages as situations dictate. Ability to complete quality and preventative maintenance documents.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and convert from or to metric dimensions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment: Work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, some exposure to non-hazardous fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Eye protection is required in the form of a welding helmet or safety glasses as situations dictate.
